Cao Cao was a regional warlord and Chancellor of the Eastern Han Dynasty who rose to great power during its final years in ancient China. He laid the foundations for what was to become the Kingdom of Wei and titled Emperor Wu of Wei.

Cao Cao has been praised as a brilliant ruler and military genius who treated his officers like his family. He was also skilled in poetry and the martial arts, and wrote many war journals. Cao Cao loves talented people and he would not hesitate to enlist them.

Lui Bei who is his foe suffered many defeats from Cao Cao until Lui Bei acquired a talent advisor, Zhuge Liang who is known during that time as one of the most brillant person and military strategist ever exists.

How can we apply these concepts of management in the modern era.
Many companies need to apply the military strategies concept used since ancient time. Countries need to attract and keep talented people to compete in the global competitive economy and markets. Singapore needs to have various type of talented people to make this city a vibrant country to live in and also to ensure our survival.
